Quality Test Engineer
Ommo is building cutting-edge position-tracking technology with applications ranging from AR/VR to surgical navigation. Testing is at the core of our identity and critical to the development and production of our products. Our technology is completely proprietary—and so are the automated test systems, calibration processes, evaluation methods, and acceptance criteria that define our performance.
We are seeking a motivated, hard-working, hands-on Test Engineer who will own the verification and validation activities for assigned product(s). This role bridges design, quality, and manufacturing to ensure products meet defined requirements through robust, compliant, and efficient test strategies. The ideal candidate is both a doer and a collaborator—comfortable developing test methods, executing protocols, and coordinating with contract manufacturers (CMs) and third-party labs in a dynamic startup environment.

Execute and document Design Verification and Design Validation per the company’s Design Control and DIOVV processes.
Coordinate with contract manufacturers (CMs) and third-party test labs for product qualification and compliance testing (e.g., biocompatibility, EMC, safety).
Support risk management (FMEA) by contributing test evidence and data analysis.
Maintain traceability between requirements, protocols, results, and reports in the product documentation system.
Collaborate closely with hardware engineers, firmware developers, and software teams through non-conformance investigations.
Lead or support root cause analysis on returned or non-conforming units and implement data-driven corrective actions
Participate in design reviews and contribute to DfX and testability feedback.
Perform data analysis & review production data on an ongoing basis
Define test system requirements and perform performance qualification (PQ)

Demonstrated ability to translate design inputs into measurable test methods and verification activities
Experience developing and executing design verification and validation (V&V) protocols, analyzing data, and authoring reports
Familiarity with test method validation (TMV) and statistical tools for data analysis
Comfortable working hands-on with hardware and test fixtures as well as documentation in a controlled system
Analytical problem solver who can troubleshoot hardware, software, or process issues methodically
Adaptable and self-driven, thrives in a fast-changing environment, and takes ownership of deliverables
